🔒 Argospolis does not collect your name, email address or any personal information unless you voluntarily provide it. The extension works entirely anonymously.

1. Who we are

Argospolis is a Greek property intelligence tool operated as an independent project. For privacy-related inquiries, contact us at privacy@argospolis.com.

2. What data we collect

Anonymous usage identifier (UID)

When you install the Argospolis Chrome extension, a random anonymous identifier is generated and stored locally in your browser. This UID contains no personal information — it is a random string like u_x7k2m9q1p.... It is used solely to count unique users and understand general usage patterns.

Listing views

When you view a property listing on Spitogatos.gr, we record that an anonymous user viewed that listing ID. We do not record your identity, IP address or browsing history beyond the listing IDs you view on Spitogatos.

What we do NOT collect

Your name or email address
Your IP address (we do not log IP addresses)
Your browsing history outside of Spitogatos listing pages
Any financial or payment information
Your location
Any information from other websites

3. Legal basis for processing

4. Third-party services

Argospolis uses the following third-party services to provide its functionality:

Hetzner Online GmbH — EU-based server hosting (GDPR compliant)
Spitogatos.gr — Source of property listing data
Inside Airbnb — Source of short-term rental market data (public dataset)
European Environment Agency (EEA) — Source of air quality data
OpenStreetMap — Source of map and road data (open data, ODbL license)
AQICN / World Air Quality Index Project — Real-time air quality data

We do not share any user data with these services. We only receive data from them.

5. Data storage and security

All data is stored on EU-based servers (Hetzner, Nuremberg, Germany). Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. We do not sell, rent or share user data with any third parties.

6. Your rights under GDPR

As a resident of the EU/EEA, you have the following rights:

Right of access — request a copy of data we hold about you
Right to erasure — request deletion of your data
Right to portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest
Right to complain — lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority

Since we only store an anonymous UID, exercising these rights requires you to provide us with your UID (found in Chrome's local storage under the key argos_uid). Contact us at privacy@argospolis.com.

7. Cookies

Argospolis does not use cookies. The anonymous UID is stored in Chrome's local extension storage, not in browser cookies, and is not accessible to websites you visit.

8. Children's privacy

Argospolis is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
